[General about this site] . . . . .

[What's a Poro-Poro?] . . . . . In manga the sound that falling tears make is 'poro-poro' .... that's where the name for the site came from. I've been asked multiple times "what's a poro-poro?" (no, there are no n's in it anywhere). Here are a few scans from various manga with 'poro-poro' (or just 'poro') in them. There's nothing horribly deep and meaningful about it, I just think Poro-Poro sounds and looks neat, and that's why I chose that name.

[Flash?] . . . . Yeah. This site is now a mix of flash and html, so if parts of it don't work then it may be because you don't have Adobe Flash Player. In which case, you should (climb out of the stone age). If stuff still doesn't work it's probably because I spaced out. If that's the case, please let me know so I can fix it.

[Site Extras] . . . . 404 Error page and Failed Authorization page to match the swanky new layout. The old ones were getting... well... old.

There also used to be a guestbook for this site, but apparently it broke. If for some unknown reason you feel like looking at it, it's here. Feel free to try and post in it.

[Contact Me] . . . . . These are the best ways to get in touch with me. I don't use AIM very often (as in, maybe once a year), but I check my email regularly. Sometimes it takes a few tries to get a response out of me though- I can be very lazy.

How the crap did I end up with so many? This seems unnecessary to the extreme. I honestly don't really use all of these, but if for some unknown reason you want to find me on one of these sites, my user info is as follows:

Email : Saraqael@poro-poro.com
AIM: Sarielchan
Livejournal: Sarielchan
Cosplay.com: Zan
Cosplaylab: Sarielchan
ACP: Zan
DeviantArt: Saraqael
Cure: ZanSariel

[About me] . . . . . My name is Katie but on the magical internet-land I usually use Sariel or Zan for my alias. I really don't care which one of those you call me. I've been dressing up in costumes since I was very little (when I was convinced that Narnia was in my backyard) and it was just so much fun that I haven't stopped.

[Let's have another paragraph...! Or two.] . . . . I live in New York (State, not City), grew up in Western Massachusetts, and went to school in Boston. I wanted to be a firetruck when I grew up, but strangely that isn't working out so well.

[Photography] . . . . . I love it. I'm no brilliant photographer, but I love taking photos- and I love having photos of costumes. At the same time, I don't like having my photo taken (GREAT idea to take up cosplay as a hobby then, huh.). Over the past year or so I've had a blast taking photos of my costumes, which at times has been downright hilarious and other times just endlessly tedious. So yeah, a lot (more and more as time goes by) of the photos on this site are self-portraits, thanks to my tripod and self-timer.

[Costumes] . . . . . Unless otherwise noted were made by me- a lot of my costume projects have been pairs with my girlfriend, Kelly, since we both cosplay and we live together and that happens.

[A note of thanks] . . . . I originally put this site up in 2001 because I thought it would be really fun to make a website and collect my costume pictures somewhere. I honestly am amazed that anyone other than myself and maybe three other people have been to it, but over the years I've received so many emails and drawings and notes that are just beyond awesome. Really, it's pretty cool. So I just want to say thanks. A lot.
