I should really just give in and make myself a pair of gloves so that the fingers fit properly. u_u
Otakon’s over (thank goodness x_X) and wasn’t nearly as spectacular as I had hoped it would be. Basically didn’t do much cosplaying at all. Now, back to reality (augh, that’s always such a drag).
I’m looking forward to starting work on new projects, and after the bleh feeling that was Otakon I’m probably going to start cutting down my cosplaying at conventions- it’s just a huge pain in the butt and I don’t enjoy doing it so much. :/
The battle with my new wig has been pathetically unsuccessful. I just don’t like the way it looks. At this point I’m considering forgetting the new wig altogether and just putting bob moon wig efforts towards revamping the old wig.
Other than the ongoing battle with bob’s wig and and the never ending attempt to find time and motivation to get photos- I have a trade to finish with my friend Sean and work to do on a costume for Otakon. So, hopefully it rains this weekend- I’d like to get as much done as I can way ahead of time.
Haven’t been doing much cosplay stuff lately because of other work, I did grab a few pictures of my old ball costume before it gets packed away to storage foreverrrr… and then here’s some more random photos of the Sera Myu stuff that has taken over parts of the apartment.
Last fall I remade my Myu Eternal costume over completely- since my old one was really horrible, and I still haven’t gotten any photos of it. ;_;
I finally gave in to my nit-pickings and bought a new Sailor Moon wig, which means hopefully next month I can get good pictures of all of those Usagi/Sailor Moon/Serenity costumes that have been piling up in my closet, yay! I’m at a bit of a standstill this month costume-wise while I’m busy with regular work.
Kelly and I were hoping to make it to the New York Cherry Blossom Festival next month, but plans for that fell through. Bummer.
Anime Boston was exhausting but fun. I sewed my Neptune costume together the night before we left, so it’s got a bit of wonk to it- I’m glad that all of the dying was out of the way early or I probably would have lost it and passed out on my sewing machine.
There is a huge amount of work to do in preparation for this weekend’s photoshoot, I kind of want to stab myself in the eye or sleep for the rest of the week, but sadly I have actual (not happy fun cosplay related) work to do on top of fun work, so I should really get going. Fun work seems like it should be an
